How it works

Earned. Evaluated. Divided.

Four moving parts. About five minutes to set up. Then the program runs alongside school, turning each report card into a paycheck.

1. Set the reward2. Enter grades3. Rate the day4. Watch it split
Step 01

Set what an A is worth.

Most families start at $100. From that single number the app derives every other grade — B at 50%, C at 25%, D at 12.5%, F at zero. You only ever set one figure, and you can change it any time.

The grade ladder

  • A — 100% of base ($100)
  • B — 50% of base ($50)
  • C — 25% of base ($25)
  • D — 12.5% of base ($12.50)
  • F — no reward

The fractions aren't arbitrary. They borrow from how performance bonuses work in the working world: full payouts for excellence, partial credit for adequacy, nothing for failure. The structure mirrors how workplace bonuses work: full payout for an A, partial for lower grades, none for an F.

Step 02

Enter the report card.

At the end of each grading period, you (or your child, with your approval) enter the grades. The app calculates the academic reward instantly — by class, then totaled.

Honors and AP courses can be weighted. Pass/fail courses are excluded. Bookkeeping is automatic, so you can focus on the conversation about the grades.

“She asks me to enter her grades now. That alone is the win.” — D.M., parent of an 8th grader
Step 03

Rate the day.

A two-minute evening check-in scores four behaviors: respect, cooperation, attitude, responsibility. Higher daily scores translate to a tiered 5–20% bonus on the academic reward.

Parents can review or amend before the bonus calculates — the program assumes you, not the app, have the final word. The evaluation is meant to prompt a conversation, not just produce a number.

Step 04

Watch the paycheck split.

When grades and bonuses combine, the total splits four ways automatically: 50% spending, 25% savings, 15% taxes, 10% retirement. The same proportions adults are advised to use, scaled to a teenager's life.

You make the actual transfer — to a youth checking account, a custodial Roth, a savings vehicle of your choosing. The app keeps the books and shows the kid where every dollar landed.

Ready when you are

Ready to set the first reward?

Setup takes about five minutes. The first paycheck follows the first report card.
